Trough Creek State Park
This state park is only 10 minutes away and offers one of Pennsylvania's finest small state park experiences - with access to several streams and waterfalls. The deep woods trails are easy to navigate and include a large suspension bridge, lookout area with balancing rock, and loads or wildlife. There are great fishing spots and swimming holes, too. We've kayaked it in the spring, and visit the rock cliffs with huge icefalls in the winter. It's always an adventure.
