We bought the property and house to become a Lodge, perfectly suited for large groups of family and friends. It's also served as a great place for groups of business guests as a rustic retreat.
Previously, we had a large place in Potter County - but after 3 years we realized we only had the woods and hunting. At the Lodge, which backs up to 17,000 acres of state game land and being so close to Raystown Lake & Trough Creek State Park, the quality of life and recreation is so much better.
So... we poured ourselves into it. As you'll see in the photos and the descriptions, we haven't cut any corners or trimmed back on creature comforts or aesthetics. What's mostly unseen are the many building systems that provide uncompromised comfort and yet with extreme energy efficiency. So that in the long run, very little energy is required but total comfort and convenience are given.
